The event in 2015 was a resounding success and saw the very best in people who wanted to support Harri and his family. Harri was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, and has since been through various treatments including chemotherapy, radiotherapy and operations to remove the cancer. Treatment still continues to this day and Harri still handles the condition with courage and humour. Ten Y Fan was initially set up to support Harri’s parents, Lee & Liz, whilst Harri went through treatment. The event itself raised over £18,000 as well as seeing Lee & Liz subsequently sit on the committee of Ten Y Fan to help arrange future events! A perfect memory of the event in 2015 was to see young Harri turn up at the start of the event having just completed a session of chemotherapy and complete a climb! Harri’s mountain and Ten Y Fan 2015 will always hold a special place in everyone’s hearts.
