The Ten Y Fan Challenge is an annual event to climb Pen Y Fan, the highest mountain in South Wales, 10 times in 24 hours. To put this challenge in perspective, this means over 40 miles in total, and those that complete the full 10 climbs will have achieved the same overall height as Everest! For those who just want to take part in Ten Y Fan, any number of climbs is an achievement and any money raised is amazing!
The event will begin at 4pm at the car park just before Storey Arms, meaning the climb continues throughout the night. For those who take on the night climbs, you may be lucky enough to see one of the most spectacular night skies in the UK with Pen Y Fan being part of the International Dark Sky Reserve, as well as seeing the sun rise at the peak the following morning.
Food, drink, first aid and physios are provided, along with a great Ten Y Fan support team to keep you going when the climb gets tough. So although we can’t guarantee great weather, we can guarantee a fantastic event!
